Lessons:

Tuesday – Thursday and Saturday.

We have the horses, ponies, instructors and facilities to suit the needs of every rider - from absolute beginners to aspiring competition riders. We have two schools and offer lessons throughout the week and on a Saturday.

Wayside’s instructors match horse and rider, to continually assess and develop the rider so they reach their true potential.

Beginners
Wayside holds courses for children and adults with little or no experience. Sessions are taken by qualified instructors and horses are carefully chosen to match pupils' needs.
Group or Private Lessons available.

Adults
We provide training and riding activities for adults, whatever their level of experience. Our BHS qualified instructors assess ability and develop training programmes to suit the individual. Events such as hacking in Windsor Great Park, bridleway hacking and cross-country available.

We welcome riders with their own horses for specialist training.

Children
We have an excellent selection of ponies for use by young children. Our instructors are skilled at developing good riding habits and their friendly approach makes Wayside an ideal place for children to learn and gain confidence.

Windsor Great Park
Enjoy riding through the best countryside in Berkshire through the historic grounds of Windsor Great Park.  No ride is safer or more beautiful.  See Britain’s beautiful countryside at its best.  See animals in their nature habitat and pass some of Britain’s treasures in the Queens grounds.

These rides are a great favourite with our customers but we are also happy to organise Corporate Days, hen and stag rides, including a stop at the local public house.
These rides are offered throughout the week and weekends for up to 2 hours at a time.
These rides are suitable for all and are escorted by qualified instructors. 

Bridleway Hacks
Ride through the quaint villages of Fifield, Bray and Holyport seeing the local sites and attractions.  All rides are escorted.

Show jumping clinics
Clear round jumping, specialist jumping clinics and show jumping competitions available under the instruction of Kerry Grimster Kerry who competes on the international and BSJA circuit has developed an excellent programme to develop young riders.  She works with the Pony Club and Riding Clubs to develop the riders and currently instructs young aspiring show jumpers.

Competitions – the charity events will be listed on the notice board. All in aid of the Air Ambulance.

Own a Pony Days
Developed for the children to have fun and learn. Run through the school holidays.  Children spend the day with us under total supervision.  They will take part in grooming, tacking up, and stable management, group lesson, hacking as suitable dependant on rider’s ability quizzes and we finish the day with a gymkhana.  All children receive a rosette.  These days are so popular that early booking is advised.

Livery
For those who would like to own their own horse but do not want the daily responsibility, we offer a choice of either Full or Working livery services. The arrangement includes half-price private or group lessons and free hacking. 

Loan scheme
We also run a leasing scheme which enables clients to ride more frequently at discounted prices. Why not make an appointment to discuss various possibilities and to meet the horses on offer?

We usually have selection of well schooled horses/ponies for sale – please see our current selection.

Breaking, Schooling and Re-education
Working closely with clients to assist with their breaking, schooling and problematic horses.  We have successfully broken, schooled and re-educated horses for our clients and are happy to discuss with you, the problems encountered and to develop an individual programme for your horse.
